My brother’s wife, whom you know, introduced me to this. Then, I found out that
she got another sister-in-law interested. Then, I told a friend about it after finding the app for it. Everyone I’ve talked to loves it. Thank you.

Goodmorning Mr. Guthrie, I have just received your book Reading God’s Story as a gift and I am unsure on how to read it. I am brand new to Christ and I’m still reading my KJV. Is your book too advanced for someone like me? Thank you so much for any help you can give me. Karen

      Hi Karen,

Welcome to God’s family, new sister! READING GOD’S STORY is meant to be a daily reading Bible. It is divided into the weeks and days of a year so a person can read through the Bible in a year’s time. For a new believer, some of the days may be a bit long, so do not feel that you have to read a whole day in one sitting. In fact, the reading plan is laid out in an abbreviated form at: http://www.bhpublishinggroup.com/readthebible/downloads/RBL-Start-Here-Plan.pdf (just read the part in the parentheses each day). Let me make a couple of other suggestions:

      1. Ask a more mature Christian if you can ask them questions as they come up. It would be great if you could get with a more mature believer regularly to process what you are reading.

      2. READING GOD’S STORY is not meant to be your main Bible, so it would be good to get a Bible, in a readable translation, to use as you listen to Bible studies, sermons, etc. If this is a hardship for you financially, let me know your address, and I will send you a Bible.

      3. I don’t know your church situation, but get involved in a strong church that teaches the Bible faithfully. You need other believers who will encourage you and help you grow.

Let me know if you have other questions. The Lord bless you in your new walk with Him.

      In Christ,

      George

Thank you so much for all your helpful insights! I am lucky that I have people in my life who are “holding my hand” right now. I am going to church with them and its amazing. Again, thanks so very much for your help, my eyes and heart are opened more everyday to Him. Many blessings, Karen
